Workshop

We invite you to participate in our exciting six to eight-week pottery wheel throwing workshop, is designed to cater to everyone, including complete beginners and those who already have some experience and want to further refine their skills.

 

Each engaging session lasts for one hour, providing you with ample time to immerse yourself in the art of pottery. You can easily select a date that works best for you, book your spot, and make your payment to ensure reservation.

 

Our rolling workshops offer a fantastic opportunity for you to continue your pottery journey  during the initial six weeks; simply book pay for an additional two weeks if you're eager to extend your experience.

​Week 1:

Welcome to week one of your pottery journey.  During this week, you will dive into the essential art of throwing and centering clay, which are crucial for building a solid foundation for your creative projects. You'll start this by creating a stunning bowl, allowing you to explore the techniques involved, and once you feel confident, you'll move on to crafting a classic cylinder. So, get ready to roll up your sleeves, the messiness, and fully immerse yourself in the wonderful art of pottery wheel throwing.

Week 2:

Welcome to Week 2 of our clay journey. This week, we will immerse ourselves in the captivating world of clay as we explore various types and bodies. Prepare yourself for more hands-on throwing, where we will concentrate on creating fundamental forms like cylinders, bowls and plates. Together, let's enhance your skills and broaden your understanding clay, making this an enriching experience for all.

Week 3:

 

This week we will embark an exciting journey to explore the various types of handles, specifically delving into the techniques of pulling and slab rolling. As part of this week’s task you are invited to create a beautiful and unique cup and saucer set that not only demonstrates your technical skills but showcases your creativity and artistic flair. Take this opportunity to express yourself and let your imagination run wild as you design a masterpiece that reflects your personal style.

 

​Week 4:

In this week we will delve into the essential techniques needed for trimming, allowing you to achieve a beautifully finish on your pottery. Prepare yourself to refine your skills and elevate the overall aesthetic of your creations. Let’s immerse ourselves in this wonderful art form of trimming and discover new ways to enhance pottery pieces.

Week 5:

 

​Dive deep into captivating realm of ceramic decorations, with a particular emphasis on the use of underglazes. Prepare to bring your ceramic pieces to life with a stunning array of vibrant colors and distinctive finishes. We will thoroughly explore various techniques and methods firing bisque, ensuring you have all the knowledge you need to elevate your creations.

Week 6:

We are truly excited to immerse ourselves in the captivating art of crafting bisque-fired cups and saucers this week. Prepare to tap into your creativity as we lead you through a range of techniques designed to elevate your artistic skills. Together, we will embark on this thrilling journey of exploration and skill development.

This is a fantastic time to catch up on any topics may have missed, need further clarification on techniques and to refine your pottery skills. We encourage you to take your time reviewing all materials we've provided. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and practice as much as you like. Plus, you will have the chance to take home your beautifully fired pottery.​​
