1-2-1 Pottery Throwing Experience

For beginners

1 Hour - 30mins

Join us for an exciting introduction to the world of clay with our 1-2-1 experience. You will watch a brief demonstration of the throwing process, then dive into 90 minutes of guided throwing, where you'll create two unique pieces.

Once your pottery is completely dried, we'll take care of firing your creations, so you can leave with confidence.

If you'd like add a personal touch, book a pottery painting session for an additional £5 per piece to paint and glaze your chosen items.

Welcome to Week 2 of your pottery adventure! This week, you'll explore the exciting techniques of slab building and coil building. You'll learn how to create unique forms and structures, experimenting with different shapes and textures.

Discover the art of glazing your clay pieces in Week 3 our workshop! Join us as we guide you the glazing process, ensuring your creations with beauty. Once you're done, simply leave your pieces with us to be expertly fired.

Welcome to Week 2! This week, we be diving into the world of wedge clay and exploring different clay types and bodies. Get ready for more throwing practice as we on creating cylinders, bowls, and plates. Let’s enhance your skills and deepen your understanding of clay.

Week 3:

Welcome to Week 3! This week, we will explore the different types of handles, including pulling and slab rolling techniques. Your task is to create stunning cup and saucer set, showcasing your skills and creativity.

Week 4:

Welcome to Week 4 - Trimming Greenware! In this session, we’ll focus on the essential techniques for trimming your greenware to achieve a polished finish. Get ready to refine your skills and enhance the beauty of your pottery. Let's dive in and explore the art of trimming.

Week 5:

Welcome to Week 5! This week, we will explore various types of decorations underglazes, focusing on the techniques and methods for firing bisque. ready to enhance your ceramic pieces with vibrant colors and unique finishes as we dive into the exciting world of ceramic decoration.

Week 6:

Welcome to Week 6 !This week, we're excited to dive into the art of bisque-fired cup and saucer creation. Get ready to explore your creativity and learn new techniques.

Pottery Wheel Throwing Taster Workshop

Suitable for beginners or curious returner.

£40 Per Person

Join us for an exciting pottery wheel throwing taster class!

Our experienced potter will guide you through the basics during this one hour workshop, helping you create your very own pot.

Whether you're a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, this workshop promises a fun and creative experience.

After your pottery is placed in the drying area, it will be fired once it is fully dry. If you wish to paint your fired pottery, you can schedule a Pottery Painting Session to decorate your pot. (There is an additional £5 charge for paint and glaze firing,

Intensive Day Workshop

5 hours 30 mins with Lunch included.

£170 Per Person

Join us for an intensive course that includes a full of hands-on tuition. You'll learn about clay preparation and get to practice throwing bowls and pots.

Create two master pieces that will be fired, and if you have any additional pieces you'd like fired, there will be a charge of £15 each payable on the day.

Enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and biscuits throughout the workshop.
